Legend of the Guardians – The Owls of Ga Hoole

This movie tells the story of a young Owl called Soren, who is fascinated by the stories his father told him about a mythic group of Owl warriors known as the Guardians of Ga’Hoole who are well known for their great sacrifices and courage in their great battle against the evil Pure Ones to save all of owl kind.

The young Owl started dreaming of joining the group of the great warriors. Out of jealousy Soren’s older brother Kludd started to have the same dream of being part of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, and that jealousy got both brothers into trouble after they fell from their treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure Ones which left them with one choice, to go all the way across the sea in a mission to find the Great Tree, home of the legendary Guardians of Ga’Hoole to seek their help in their battle to defeat the Pure Ones and save the owl kingdoms once again.

The first trailer for the movie The Green Hornet is out, and i really needed to share it with you guys.. If you don’t know the story of the movie, it tells the story of a rich guy called Britt Reid, who lost his father who is LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate, leaving him his media empire. Reid discovers that his father’s employee Kato has a collection of some of the greatest inventions you’ll ever see. Realizing that he never did anything good or useful his whole life he decides to leave his partying days behind and he teams up with Kato in a great adventure fighting crime using everything they have from skills and equipments.. You really don’t wanna miss that movie when it comes out, it’s really funny, and filled with action.

The concept of the old Karate Kid is here, but it’s a whole new story. This movie talks about a 12 year old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) who was one of the popular kids in Detroit, when his whole life changed when his mother (Taraji P. Henson) gets a new job opportunity that takes her and her kid all the way to China.

A new country, new people and a new love for the kid. Dre falls for his classmate Mei Ying, not knowing that things in China are a little bit different than what they are back in the states, not only he gets himself into an impossible situation with the girl because of cultural differences, the 12 year old kid gets in trouble with the class bully, Cheng.

What can Dre do now?? he’s not in his country, he doesn’t have any friends, and in the land of Kung Fu he only knows a little Karate. After feeling desperate, asking his mother to get back home, only one man took this kid under his wings and taught him how to survive what he’s going through, a maintenance man called Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) who is secretly a master of kung fu teaches Dre everything he knows…. The beginning of this story has been seen before, a planet far far away from Earth about to be destroyed, so a family puts their little child in a spaceship and send him straight to Earth, but that’s the only familiar thing you’ll see in this outstanding animated movie, this child will be become the most brilliant supervillain the world has ever known, but still he’s the least successful of them all, every plan Megamind “as he calls himself” created was shut down by another man, yes, if you go back in time, when Megamind was sent to earth, his spaceship wasn’t the only one carrying a child to Earth, another family sent their child before their planet was destroyed, and that child grew up to be Metro City’s most invincible hero who people called him Metroman. Megamind’s dream was to kill that hero, and in one of his plans he succeeds, which made him realize that it was the biggest mistake of his life, because now, his life has no purpose. So Megamind decides to create a new hero for the city, a hero that he named Titan. But as most of his plans, this one didn’t work, as Titan decides that he wants to be a villain instead of a superhero, and instead of taking over the world, he decides to destroy it. So now it’s Megamind’s time to be the superhero and end what he created.
